PowerPoint add-in
Timerinator for PowerPoint
Use the Office add-in to share a presentation, connect PowerPoint to a shared Timerinator session, or open a deck in the Windows app.
Install
Download the manifest that matches where you use PowerPoint, then sideload it in PowerPoint. The add-in pane is hosted by the Timerinator website, so pane fixes arrive when the add-in reloads. Ribbon button or manifest changes may require reinstalling or refreshing the add-in.
Windows
Install Timerinator for Windows first so the desktop app registers the timerinator:// protocol. The Windows manifest adds Open in Timerinator, Share presentation, Connect to shared timer, and Edit timer buttons to the ribbon.
Mac and web
The Mac and web manifest adds Share presentation, Connect to shared timer, and Edit timer. Open Connect to shared timer, paste a share code or speaker link, and connect. Slide movement syncs only when that speaker is the current speaker or active-control speaker.
Test checklist
- Windows PowerPoint opens the installed Timerinator app from Open in Timerinator.
- Windows loads embedded Timerinator data when the deck already contains it.
- Mac and web PowerPoint show Share presentation, Connect to shared timer, and Edit timer without an Open in Timerinator ribbon command.
- Mac PowerPoint connects with a speaker link and shows control state.
- PowerPoint for the web connects with the same hosted pane.
- Current or active-control speaker slide movement syncs, while viewer and wrong-speaker movement is ignored.
