How to use

Prepare a timer without PowerPoint

Timerinator can run as a section timer even when PowerPoint is not invited, which is sometimes the healthiest choice.

  1. Create sections

Add each part of the talk as a section and set its planned duration. Use zero slides or a demo section for time blocks that should not be weighted by slide count.

  2. Set the total time

Enter the total available time when the session has a fixed slot. Timerinator subtracts breaks and can distribute the remaining time across sections.

  3. Control redistribution

Use Grow and Shrink to decide which sections may gain or lose time during automatic distribution. Clear a section color field if you want Timerinator to assign the next default color.

  4. Choose one speaker or many

Use a single presenter for a simple talk, or add co-presenters when different people own different parts of the schedule. Saved speakers can be reused in future timers.

  5. Add breaks if needed

For longer sessions, add timed breaks so the total schedule includes both presentation time and pause time.

  6. Reuse timing history

After a completed run, use historical averages to rebalance a future plan from saved slide timing data when the current layout matches that history.

  7. Start and advance manually

Start the timer and move between sections from the Timerinator app when the session changes topic.
